Firas Salem earned his bachelor’s degree in law in 2001 from Damascus University (Syria) and an LLM in 2006 in international economic law from the University of Warwick (UK). A certified lawyer since 2004 and member of the Syrian Bar Association since 2001, Mr. Salem’s main areas of expertise include banking law, corporate and commercial law, intellectual property, litigation, arbitration, and employment law. He has also represented banks, public shareholding companies, and limited liability companies in a variety of legal matters.
Mr. Salem joined HL&A in 2016, and has in-depth knowledgeable in drafting court pleadings, drafting, negotiating, and reviewing commercial contracts, leases, memorandums, and agency agreements. Mr. Salem is fluent in Arabic, English, and French.
Mr. Salem worked previously as a lawyer, in-house lawyer, legal advisor, legal manager, and head of legal with Ottomani Law Firm Syria, Kardous Law Firm Syria, MTN mobile operator Syria, Bank Audi Syria, QNB bank Syria, and Commercial Bank International UAE.
